    @leaverou@front-end.social previously when looking at tags I have found Rosch's prototype theory better than strict hierarchies - the latter has historically been about shelving convenience when trying to locate a single copy. The prototypes are more about "what kind of thing does this resemble?" - experts in a topic will recognise more kinds of things than the general reader. Using tags more loosely can help communicate these different prototypes and help them search elsewhere too.
