@tastapod@mas.to Capitalists seeing "increased productivity" and jumping straight to "fire workers" are a blight on our society. But (if even a tiny bit of capitalists theory holds) their lunch will get eaten by those capitalists who use it to empower the staff they have. Economics is about relationships. If all you know how to do is count then those that can work well with people, and also count, will prevail over you. But as we go through the adjustment many (myself included) are suffering.
