Removing the artists from the creation of art also removes the conversation with the artist. You don't have an interaction with a new perspective, you don't have any exposure to their life, you aren't making a positive difference in a real human's life by funding their work.
I want a real person to be excited about my gremlin ideas when I commission an artist. I *want* to know how they think about my idea as they make it reality. Sometimes an artist I'm working with makes the idea even better by asking for input on things I didn't even think about.
I don't just get a product out of a machine, I get a real person's perspective. I get an interaction on a human level that makes it special to me personally.
