I looked over DHH's Twitter feed yesterday and immediately felt very, very tired. He's out there chewing on the "woke" chestnut all day every day now, and it makes me incredibly uncomfortable. But I don't know what to do about it: I'm going to be working with Rails and Tailwind for the foreseeable future, that's our stack—I can't just up and leave. So I'll settle for him shutting up, that would keep the peace.

@hejsna@ruby.social @pointlessone@status.pointless.one I can't up and leave either. I love Ruby and I love Rails. The value of my skills depends on the growth of Ruby and Rails. Setting aside that it's the right thing to do, I don't know how to get that growth unless we make it more enticing and more inclusive. Even if DHH shut up now, which he won't, the damage that's done is going to be hard to address as long as he's there.
