@feliks@chaos.social @argv_minus_one@mastodon.sdf.org @benno@eigenmagic.net It is closing rapidly, so much that some people claim that the frontier has stopped moving, and "open source" models are catching up. I've found Qwen3.6 (both dense and MoE) to be actually useful sometimes for non-trivial things, and I'm running it from 100% renewable power. I'm fully aware that not everyone is in a position to do this, so this isn't a recommendation.
