@yaxu@post.lurk.org I think this contributes massively towards the demographic in UK tech conferences for both the speakers and the attendees. The same is true for evening tech meetups. I once saw someone asking a tech meetup in Berlin to start a bit later so that people with parental responsibilities would be able to join and the organiser just flat out refused because the start time was more convenient for them and existing attendees.
