@leonido@chaos.social @mandrasch@social.tchncs.de @hauschke@mastodon.social Ich fände ja die eduroam Authentifizierung ja auch sehr verlockend für zukünftige Infrastrukturen, wie z.B. Autorensysteme, Kalender, Chats. Keine Ahnung ob das technisch machbar wäre.

The eduroam authentication is (or at least was) highly specific for WiFi and is not suited for other services. Many identity providers also use less secure passwords for eduroam to protect the normal passwords and to enable a more liberal storage policy for passwords at both the issuer end and the user end.

@brembs@mastodon.social @leonido@chaos.social @mandrasch@social.tchncs.de @hauschke@mastodon.social eduroam-Authentifizierung (meines Wissens Radius?) ist vermutlich nicht ohne weiteres nutzbar, aber für die verteilte Authentifizierung mit verschiedenen Service-Providern und verschiedenen Identity-Providern gibt es im akademischen Bereich ja Lösungen wie die Shibboleth-Authentifizierung, in Deutschland läuft das z.B. über DFN-AAI.
