The river was down in a valley, so probably not carried by the river. But farmland is *right there*, so who knows how to looked a long time ago. There were lots though, scattered in that one stretch. Interesting.

@An0n@beige.party I always an interested when I find a plant like that. It can be an old fruit tree, like an apple or pear. Or a Day Lilly or some German Irises. It’s interesting to think about who might have planted it or its predecessors long ago. Sometimes, one finds other evidence of an old homesite like the remains of foundations or metal debris.
