@michael@m.mtlynch.io Yeah, the post itself is reasonable (hence I didn’t link it directly), but I still feel like it’s not ideal to think about “steering your formatter”, because then it’s only a small step to introducing options and styles and… If a project consistently prefers a certain nuance of how to use the formatter (e.g., I like “one item per line” even when that introduces whitespace), ideally, it should be codified and enforced automatically, so that others don’t need to think about steering :)
