It really bugs me when I find out that they made modern ports/remasters/remakes of a thing, and didn't bother to make it in English. Been going down a big Dragon Quest rabbithole recently (thanks to getting my hands on the VII Reimagining) and that led me to discover that Japan got a game called "Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland Retro" for the Nintendo Switch, which is just a modern upgrade to the old GBC game. Specifically, it's a port of the original Dragon Quest Monsters game, which came out in the year 2000, and was released for the GBC in Japan AND The west, with US and Europe releases (in ENGLISH). The game has been re-released 5 times since then - mobile phones, PS1, 3DS, iPhone and Android - with the Nintendo Switch port being the sixth. None of them with English localization, even when the game itself is functionally identical to the 2000 original release
