Watson, S.M., presided at the Magistrate’s Court to-day. … William Gordon, who was found in a Chinaman’s shop with cigarettes in his possession, pleaded guilty to the theft of two packets of cigarettes valued at £3 [ca. $375 today], the property of Joe Yee.
