Keep in mind when people talk about Claude failures: Unless you give it explicit permission to go nuts, Claude asks for permission for every command or edit before it runs it. You absolutely should be reviewing every single one. Never hit the button to give it blanket edit permission on a directory. You need to review all the changes anyway, right? Right?

In other words, the more I use Claude, the more I realize that most of these horror stories are people being brazenly reckless even within the assumptions of the tool. C’mon, people, this is dangerous stuff, pay attention! It's like the people who take a nap in their Tesla behind the wheel and jury-rig something to keep the wheel 'touched'. Oh my goodness don't do that.
