The Old Straight Track by Alfred Watkins
First published in 1925 The Old Straight Track has not been out of print since, it is one of the most important sources for the study of ancient tracks or leys that weave around Britain.
When out walking Alfred Watkins began to notice the connections between beacon hills mounds. earthworks. moats and old churches. te began researching and found that they were all built on pagan sites and seemed to fall in straight lines. His research helped him forge a theory that Britain was made of a interconnected network of ley lines.
