Really annoying to watch them saw from behind like amateur clowns. If you want to cut through the spinal column efficiently with a knife find a cervical disk space from the front, work from front to back until you hit facet joints, THEN cut the skin/musculature circumferentially and crack the bones with forced extension

@TrevorGoodchild@poa.st I'm assuming a spur of the moment made them forget technique, maybe they likely were genuinely unskilled. I'm skeptical either way lol. Always best to consult a butcher before cutting personally.

Never done a human, but lots of animals. Front to back is bout as accurate that I've ever heard. Then twist.
