I was saddened to hear of the passing of Tim Holding from Mosaic Board Printers today. I met Tim once, and shared a few emails over the years, but the simple fact is that my daft little project wouldn't still exist without Tim. I was reviewing in The Itchy Pig and the project was done - I was running out of beer mats to review on. The website I was getting them from had disappeared, I didn't think the bigger companies would consider the small volume I'd need, and my stockpile was running low. I'd already begun to draft the final post of Beer Mat Movies. Tim walks over, pint in hand, and starts to ask me questions about what I was doing. Eventually I said I wouldn't be doing it for much longer due to not having beer mats to review on. He immediately told me what he did, picked up my pen and wrote in the back of my notebook a small volume quote for beer mats along with his email address.
