For any Canadian Fedizens wondering why things got quiet, #mstdnca is down.
Not a power outage (or at least not a neighbourhood wide one), and also not the usual time-out server overload issues; it's not replying at all. So it's probably down until after day-job hours are over.

Although given how many people switched off mstdn.ca last month, maybe the rest of you didn't notice the quiet?

Update: #mstdnca is back online, but with high latency as the servers try to catch up on the backlog of queued jobs from 5 hour downtime. Other server admin may see big batch requests.
