i always assumed it was because her dreams were too big (she wants soooooo many things...big, expensive things. she has fancy taste, you know?), but now that i think about it, she doesn't track her finances at all 😖

@mk30@tilde.zone Mom fell for every single pyramid scheme in the 80s. Married a few rich men, those all ended badly. She always works two or three jobs so she can afford to shop, and it's not enough for her. She used to be a "financial advisor", but yeah. Pretty sure her shopping addiction puts her in the "bad with money" category regardless. She's always complaining about her storage fees. Well.... own fewer things?
