@jarekrozanski@mastodon.social @HennaVirkkunen The Commission is a huge bureaucracy tied up by complex procedures, not a handful of people in a room making decisions on a whim. They will want to produce a bunch of internal documents and build the case before they initiate anything formally, and they will want to do it right.
A month is not a long time in this context, it's blazingly fast.

@brekke@eupolicy.social Yes, the Commission indeed is a huge bureaucracy but that in part makes sure every decision is throughly thought out and justified (not necessarily _good_ from every point if view, but that's politics). Want a handful of people making decisions on a whim? Move to the US. @jarekrozanski@mastodon.social @HennaVirkkunen@ec.social-network.europa.eu
