Hello! To answer your recent questions about GitHub:
We are aware many would appreciate a move away from GitHub, and of course we agree on the principles behind it. For pragmatic reasons, GitHub remains for us the most effective way to coordinate contributions at the moment. But we keep an eye on the development of other solutions that better align with our values and regularly evaluate the effort versus benefit of migrating.

@nextcloud@mastodon.xyz Thanks for the answer but i did not talk about contribution and developement, but update and extension installation. as both REQUIRE github, and imposing github to your client infrastructure is not "sovereignty" friendly, even when you can technically "host" those download elsewhere while using github for the contribution?
