I don’t think the point of the criticism is to hate on G+, but to note that the dynamic of Google going all-in on something ill-suited to them is similar.

@jmcs@social.jsantos.eu It’s not criticizing Google+, it’s criticizing how Google gets worried about fresh competition and overreacts in a way that harms its users.
