train travel in the Netherlands is fun: NS suggested a connection with 2min transfer time, the first train (operated by Arriva — a DB company) departing in germany. DB didn't even care to suggest that, straight up showing a later transfer. And, to my amazement, despite delays in germany and early stations in the Netherlands … we arrived on time for the transfer, check-in terminals were right between my door of the arriving train and the closest of the next one (an IC), all went smooth and well. Even ended up in the 2nd class silent wagon. Absolutely delightful. :neofox_floof__w_: And yet, even if i had missed that connection, there would've been another option, scheduled to arrive at my destination just a bit over 10 minutes later. The only downside: as soon as we left … it got colder and started raining. :neofox_floof_sad:
