I love movies and records, don’t get me wrong! And I understand the logic of capital — it’s cheaper and helps cement their power if they make and distribute recorded entertainment to the masses versus giving us the leisure time to entertain ourselves.
But if I survive a civilization collapse, I have no concerns about getting entertained.

I think I’m just dealing with the realization that the TTRPG GMing I’ve been doing in public lately is getting dangerously close to “community theater.”
