what about saying it's 1. a sort of digital jugaad for everyday tech practices 2. a way to collectively think how to (or if we can even) design digital infra/tools in the public interest (and without destroying the enviro in the process) 3. with a strong feel for computational degrowth 4. an international network of people contributing their different contexts/povs/perspectives on these matters as opposed to impose a one-size-fit-all roadmap. And because it's a debian conf, maybe you could also try to poke the audience with the fact that a lot of people in pmc are users/contributors of FLOSS but are also interested to critically reflect on its actual capacity to function as an alternative as opposed to an accelerator of harm. You could combine all this with what @kris@outmo.de was suggesting in the chat: concrete examples of tech failing to show the urgency (and you could expand the failure from various aspects, from functionality, to harm).

thank you for the pointers, I now have bunch of ideas, but I thinking including point 3 would be hard as there will be students unlike me who will be using these llm bots for every little things. @320x200@post.lurk.org @kris@outmo.de
