Part of the point here is that Guts eventually defeats Griffith in a mirror scene.

But he doesn’t do it with a parry. He just learns to strike hard and fast enough to break Griffith’s sword so he CANT be parried

And Griffith rapes his partner, kills everyone, and becomes a god. Guts gets stuck in a boat. Fin. I don’t like this metaphor for our current socioeconomic models :(
