Privacy is a big deal for cars, especially electric cars. Many are worried about Chinese cars. @mgifford@mastodon.social important reminder! Begs the question what people can do to protect themselves besides the long game of lobbying for privacy protection. I wonder what systems in the car are used to facilitate these features? Infotainment is not required for driving. Or did they went so far as to put the spying functions in ECU or other safety systems. 🤔 Even in that case there is some uplink somewhere that could break somehow 😉
