@v@merveilles.town to your point about "Just... any frame of this, I would be happy to have framed on my wall, probably." Draughtman's Contract is explicitly that in that some shots are meant to recapitulate the composition of certain paintings (which I don't have the art history to identify, but you can kind of tell nonetheless because the main dude is after all a draughtsman)

@juv3nal@phire.place utterly unsurprised by this, given the way he frames shots & the way he's interested in mixing elements and references and things which make the films feel artificial. and great to hear about The Falls, funny how that description makes me more sickos-mode interested to watch it (A Nought and Two Zeds first, I think)
