@bgm@musicians.today Thanks for the feedback! My condenser mic is good but sounds kinda cold and sterile. Very accurate and clinical. Almost too much. Tried tweaking in the DAW. And my SM58 I find challenging with getting proximity dialed in. It’s much warmer but the plosives are sometimes wicked. Maybe I’ll try the SM58 in the stand with the pop screen. Usually I hand hold the 58, so I’ll see if I can make it work.

@strayhorse@c.im @bgm@musicians.today We have a CAD gold-sputtered large diaphragm condenser, but we put it in front of an ART tube preamp with built-in Antares autotune. We leave the auto tune either off or on the least invasive setting, but the tube warms the sound up nicely.
