@IndyRichard@mastodon.scot Perhaps Wes Streeting should review his Educational background as, in my book, being badly treated by a colonial overlord, sometimes for centuries, is the catalyst for the growth of nationalism, and understandably so.
In Welsh-speaking Wales (19th C) schoolchildren who spoke only Welsh were made to wear a plaque around their necks with (paraphrasing here) 'I am stupid because I can't speak English'. I think it was called 'the Welsh Knot'.
