@brunogirin@mastodon.me.uk @HarriettMB@toot.wales @IndyRichard@mastodon.scot but it's rather strange to use Wes Streeting's statement when quitting the government as evidence of the government's views. Surely he's quitting because he doesn't agree with them? The government didn't tell Streeting to phrase it that cluelessly. Or maybe they did and he's really really gullible!

@mjr@masto.bike @brunogirin@mastodon.me.uk @IndyRichard@mastodon.scot In #Streeting’s view the government are not going hard enough on the ‘colonies’, nor are they clamping down sufficiently on support against the #genocide in #Gaza and #Lebanon. Streeting is a creature of Blair and Mandelson, and is probably closer to #ReformLtd in fact, than he is to the remnants of the original #LabourParty. While I loathe #Starmer and everything he’s done to date, Streeting is several orders of magnitude worse.
