@chris@mstdn.chrisalemany.ca @IndyRichard@mastodon.scot I'll interject here to note that there are a lot of those wanting independence who are not bothered whether or not we retain the monarchy, and there are a fair number who want both independence and to ditch the royals, but the sentiment for independence but only if we keep the monarchy is insignificant (if it exists at all). Whether or not the royals are retained at all will certainly depend on how independence is achieved.
