@KaCi@autistics.life Mint is more comfortable, but based on Ubuntu. It has three different UIs. Cinnamon is the usual. I would recommend USB before VM, because you don't have to systems running at once. You still could use your data on your hard-drive. Dual boot is better if you want to regular use and individualise it. It installs an bootloader which let you choose at each system start if you want start Linux or Windows.
