I know that Trump and Republicans are not very good at thinking about details... or even thinking, but Trump's idea of just giving people cash ignore that Obamacare defines what has to be covered in exchange for the subsidies. If you just gave people the money and told them to buy their own health insurance, the health care industry would "increase shareholder value" them a new asshole.
