@katherine_montalto@zirk.us people in tte us always try to own transit advocates by saying "well you wouldn't give up YOUR car" but like yes i would in a heartbeat if it got me effective, reliable, and affordable mass transit.

@MorningSong@weirder.earth I'm from Detroit so grew up in car culture but when I moved to Chicago I gave up my car because I could use mass transit. it was amazing. I didn't own a car for over a decade. I'm back in Metro Detroit and I miss mass transit so much. I wish I could give up my car again.
