@timelordiroh@mstdn.iroh.tv honestly, I think it’s intimidation. The first pen I bought (four years ago, I think) I bought as a decoration (part of a desk set, it matched a clock). Owning it, I thought “well… I SHOULD try it…” and it wrote like a dream. Before that, they were scary. People just need to get one in their hand and try writing.

@macosken@mastodon.social I agree, but I think it's even lower down. People just don't write enough to bother thinking about what tool they use.
