@Sheril@mastodon.social One of the most important books I’ve read in the last few years is Breaking The Spell by Daniel Dennett. It makes the case that religion is ironically a logical outcome of human evolution, not some sort of incompatible-with-science purely vestigial mythology. It’s not true, of course, but it did serve an evolutionary purpose.
