I've gotten shit from people for buying new cars, but each time I buy a car, it's the same process. Start looking for used vehicles, get prices and shit, compare them to new prices, laugh at how fucken retarded the used market is and buy a new car. "Oh but you depreciate blahblahblah percent the second you drive off the lot" How about this...I buy a car so I can get to work every day. It's not stocks. I am nowhere near jewish enough to give a fuck about what it's worth. As long as it fits comfortably within my budget and does the job it's supposed to do for as long as possible without being a huge pain in the dick, I'm happy with it. I've had my Honda for 5 years. 45k miles. Paid off. Only brought it in for routine PM's. Biggest expense so far: $900 for new tires. Third time I've done this. No complaints.

I think the used car market really exploded during Covid because of the slow down in production/ shipping of new cars and then the new car chip shortage.

  • ya last year when my dad needed a new car we were looking at Trucks since he's always wanted another one and used was the same as new so I ended up telling him I'd buy him a new truck since i figured why buy a used truck for the price of new and that's what we did got him a 2024 Nissan Titan Pro 4x

Yeah, that's what I did. I bought my current car at 23k, no APR with a 1500 trade in. It's paid off currently, just got new tires, tire sensors, shocks last year, and a new battery this year (which my husband installed). Basic all wear and tear tbh. It's mine, and all the miles on it, I did, and I know what I have done with it and to it.

@The_Almighty_Kek@nicecrew.digital @Morghur@decayable.ink @Red-Potato@nicecrew.digital @Elliptica@poa.st @mushroom_soup@poa.st My Toyota Tacoma is 19 years old. Hardly any maintenance (battery and tires). I love not having a car payment.
