2/ We continue to underestimate how far the fossil fuel industry will go to keep its hegemony. The UK is gaining agency, autonomy, and sovereignty by ditching this planet-frying toxic product. Be prepared for Big Oil to interfere in elections, meddle in public health response, promote bigotry, and start pointless wars. Accelerating the move to solar & wind reduces how much money the most corrupt industry on the planet has available to destroy every democracy acting on climate.
