why is it that canned vegetables basically always taste like crap and barely like the same vegetable cooked from fresh or frozen, while canned fruit usually tastes pretty good and like the actual fruit even if it's not as good as fresh

@jiub@not.an.evilcyberhacker.net We don't know, but we'd guess that it's because fruit is stored in sweet fruit juice or syrup, rather than purified / distilled water or salt water.
