Opened the barn to get the mower out this morning, and I come back to find this pair hovering around the entrance and trying to barge their way in. Much as I love swallows and can appreciate that they're suffering from widespread habitat loss due to the knocking down of old buildings and replacement by unfriendly urban structures, they already have a nest (small, but effective) in the woodshed, so they can jolly well stay there. I mean, I know there's a housing crisis in Ireland, but come on! Even the birds are at it. 😏 #Swallows #kerry #ireland #nestbuilding #birdsofmastodon #birdsofthefediverse
