Unexpectedly shared my bed with a small visitor who arrived around 1:am. Settled him down and returned him to his own bed an hour or so later. Toddlers generate their own heat like small furnaces and cling like limpets. Your heart just melts when you look down at the peacefully sleeping child cuddled into you. And you feel humbled to know he thinks of you as a safe harbour. Even at that time of the morning! #Grandparenting
