@mgerdts@mastodon.social I've not seen that, yet ... but I agree that it might be annoying.
Probably they've started being active in the Fediverse in multiple different places and built multiple communities. Now it's hard to reach all of them at the same time, with the same account. Just my guess.

@thomas@metalhead.club one of the more egregious examples is from a computer parts recycler. After seeing the same post four times this morning I searched for their name and found eight or so accounts that were clearly the same persona with no more than three followers each.
