@wickedshell@mastodon.social the article seems messy to me.Syncthing package was archived and since then no new versions have been published in f-droid. researchxxl doesn't seem to have been committing a lot of changes to that package as i have checked last commits & he has none https://github.com/syncthing/syncthing-android/graphs/contributors?from=13%2F01%2F2024 researchxxl forked the package and has continued the project with a different f-droid package so you had to remove the previous one and install the new one. So far no concerns have been risen regarding the fork

@wickedshell@mastodon.social i reply myself to include @vkc@linuxmom.net for I removed her before thinking we were deviating from the topic (to avoid spamming her) but as I have seen i was wrong i include her. I am interesting in the topic as I am actually user of syncthing-fork. I sync multimedia, some folders and org files with syncthing. For other things i use unison and rsync but not on the phone...

@antoniovr@mastodon.social I honestly just noticed during the midst of the kerfluffle in github issues asking for more detail/confusion about the passing of keys. I didn't have a lot of time, so at the time I uninstalled syncthing-fork since it's not the most critical on my phone (but I did like it and use syncthing elsewhere). It's been on my mental list to reevaluate. (And I pulled that article for you from a quick internet search, I've never actually used that site before).
