It sounds like this is a proposal to add a web standard that's equivalent to the Safari-specific `font: -apple-system-body`, is that correct?

@cwilcox808@c.im @jscholes@dragonscave.space @mahryekuh@hachyderm.io That was considered, adding a property like font-size: system. But the problem with that is it doesn't affect rem/em units in media queries. However we did create the environment variable env(preferred-text-scale).
