@JL_Lycette It's plausible, but highly improbable with normal air and sea surface temperatures. But we're not normal anymore, and will only get less normal with current trends. As SSTs continue to rise, there is enough potential energy in places where there wasn't enough before. People will have to adapt (either individually or collectively) or be swept away.
