@derickr@phpc.social Sorry, missed your reply here. If the massive subsidy injected into OpenAI and Anthropic vanished, such that they had to pay for infrastructure with real dollars earned from customers, that would be enough to rebalance markets back to sanity. It wouldn't even take Thanos-snapling LLMs out of existence. Which won't happen anyway because you can just download stuff that's equivalent to state of the art a year (or less!) ago.
