@gorlak@mastodon.gamedev.place @daniel_collin@mastodon.gamedev.place This is W1 category, the athletes use a compound bow, a bow with a levering system in order to aid them to bend the limbs. This type of bow isn't allowed at Olympics, though there is another category in which the athletes can choose to use a recurve bow. As for the performance, yeah they can absolutely compete with able-bodied athletes. In Italy almost every paralympic national qualifies to able-bodied italian championship.
