I need ideas for budget DIY kitchen units. Not just ideas, but real-life experiences too. Have any of you ever built something like this?

@yuliyan@nahe.social i live with a somewhat limited space in the kitchen since it doubled as room for eating the meals, too, so my last roomy and i mounted a foldable table/work-area in there to a wall, if thats the kinda thing youre curious for? its been not a whole lot of DIY though, i think most components came at size from the hardware store already and only needed picking, planning and assembly
