I never went to college so I am unsure, but, based on movies and books, I understood 15 credits to be full time. I would think, again based on movies and books that there would be another 2-3 hours a day for office hours and class maintenance... So this would work out to somewhere around 60-70 hours a week.

@nikatjef@dragonheim.net generally speaking, at teaching institutions where you aren’t expected to do significant research, 12 credits is considered full time if you have other responsibilities (committee work etc.); at research institutions, 6 credits is more typical and, of course, “full time” is in reality far more than 40hr/wk in academia
