for the past month i've made music for and helped develop and manage an ambitious little game for a game jam that we unfortunately couldn't finish most of everything in time for. there were many bizarre and unlucky issues along the way that made it quite difficult for the entire team to get things done, but we did get a lot more done than we thought we would!! the artists did an incredible job and some of the assets are drop dead gorgeous!! the music that the lead composer and audio director (agatha) got into the game is also incredible and most of what i did was rearranged by her. overall everyone did an incredible job and working with this team of people was a joy and i'd love to work in both a properly finished version of the game in the near future (!!) and just any other future projects ​:teto_heart:​ we also had an issue where most of the code was deleted the day before the deadline (yesterday) and we basically had to hack together even less of what we originally had in just a day ​:akko_weary:​ we got something out though!! and you can play it here!! you'll notice that for a "fever dream jam" there's not much feverish dreamy things in the current state of the game. among the many things that were either planned or done assets wise but cut code wise there was an entire last portion of the game (and gradual transformation on the way there) that i wrote, made music for and would have "directed" art wise with a friend that we just couldn't get to in time... this section would have gone haywire with surrealism and is where most of the actual theme would have come into </3 however we are eager to make a finished version of this project with everything we couldn't do after a break!! with all of that in mind most of my contributions ended up basically being the team's maid setting up the repos and doing a lot of cleaning ​:mikucheer:​ particularly in the first two weeks. and it was a lot of fun!! you should play it and see what the artists came up with!!
