I absolutely hate it and it is amongst the single biggest annoyances in iOS26.
The searchbar is always in the way when you are scrolling up, which is the main activity - who scrolls down? And how often does one use the searchbar, for it to be stuck in your eyesight permanently. 🤦 There's absolutely no need to reach it easily.

@chiefbongo@mastodon.social @signalapp@mastodon.world idk about most people, but I use the search bar alot, I feel its faster than scrolling to find a contact or group.
